What We Can Offer

In addition to the diversity of projects undertaken at Rank Engineering, such as structural steelwork and bespoke fabrications, we also offer a variety of professional services such as:

Full Site Survey

Our vastly experienced workforce conduct full site surveys for our customers to ascertain the specifics of the job in question.  With the use of precision instruments such as theodolites, for measuring angles and lasers, for measuring distance; dimensions are firstly collated to a very high degree of accuracy and then, either converted to fabrication drawings for approval, from which a quote can then be generated, or in some more obvious instances, the latter can be surmised from the measurements alone.  Conversely, if required, full site surveys are also carried out on client’s drawings, prior to fabrication, for quotation purposes and to ensure the job specification is fully understood and agreed upon, by both parties, before commencement.

Fabrication Drawings for Approval

Our on-site draughtsman is exceptionally qualified and experienced in AutoCAD and uses Advance Steel software for professional, structural engineering, design and development purposes.  Using precise measurements, drawings are fabricated and GAs are sent to our clients for approval, upon which, material is promptly ordered and workshop fabrication drawings are formulated.  The latter not only details the exact manufacturing process for assembly, from part specification to surface finish, but acts a blueprint for fabrication, stipulating precisely the cutting, drilling and welding procedure to adopt.  In this respect, Rank Engineering’s profound adaptability and design ingenuity is thoroughly respected throughout the industry.

Project Management

From enquiry to delivery, Rank Engineering manages and supervises the whole manufacturing process for you.  Parts of this service include a competitive quotation, a comprehensive review of requirements and the subsequent design of fabrication drawings for approval, based on customer specifications.  Development of client drawings can also be arranged if required, in view of the most adequate, fabrication process to adopt.  This is based on our vast experience and in depth knowledge of our full, on-site, manufacturing and production capabilities.  In addition, we organise site visits, ordering materials, fabricating quality assured parts and assemblies in accordance with CE compliance, arranging and liaising with subcontractors along with utilizing our own highly-skilled and qualified, site operatives, managing, planning and supervising complex crane lifts, arranging cherry pickers, conducting a final inspection and organising delivery if required.  Conclusively, rest assured, Rank Engineering can coordinate the whole job for you, end to end.
