Davey Scope - Structural steelwork, staircases and balustrades, fascias and soffits This project had two key phases we were heavily involved in. First we worked with the architect to design the structural steelwork; then we produced the fabrication drawings and completed the job, including nine flights of stairs and balustrades, on time and on budget. |  | | | Project: Portal Frame Building - Highbridge Client - John Perkins Construction Scope - Design and build of steelwork, cladding, gutters, doors and internal barrier rails Putting up a 4,000 sq ft warehouse called for intensive partnership work with main contractor John Perkins Construction to get the design and development right; then we produced the required drawings and created the steel structure and any additional features before erecting the finished product. |  | | | Project: Steel frame building - Rushlands Nursing Home, Broadlands Drive, Lawrence Weston Client - Avebury International PLC Scope - Structural steelwork, Juliet Balconies and aluminium folded sections, including fascias, soffits, gutters and coloured window boxes Close collaboration with the architect and the main contractor saw Rank design new methods of fixing the crucial aluminium folded sections; we also played a key role in the design of two glass canopies which were included in the final structural steelwork package. |  | | | Project: Structural steel design - SS Great Britain Museum, Bristol Client - John Perkins Construction Scope - Design and build of mezzanine floor, staircase and various handrails and balustrades throughout the building Working with both the SS Great Britain team and John Perkins Construction we designed, drew and built a mezzanine floor and stairs to accompany a historic British attraction; we also built and fitted a series of aluminium floor plates, various display steelwork, and most memorably, the two floor beams Isombard Kingdom Brunel's famous steam train - 'The Iron Duke' – rests on in the museum. |  | | | Project: Balcony design and build - Cumberland Road, Bristol Client - Residential Scope - Design and build of a balcony, spiral staircase and balustrades Working with the homeowner we designed and built this balcony using steel and wooden posts; in addition, we designed, constructed and fitted the steelwork for the stone and glass clad feature at the front of the house. |  | |
